There is no denying that Mexico has had its fair share of crime and violence, particularly in certain areas such as border towns and cities with high drug trafficking activity. No one wants to think about what could go wrong on a vacation, but the truth is that accidents can happen anywhere, at any time. That’s why it’s always a good idea to have travel insurance, so you can relax and enjoy your trip knowing that you’re covered if something does go wrong. While there are many amazing destinations to choose from in Mexico, Cancun holds a special place in my heart.

Its easy access to the surrounding areas, including Playa del Carmen, Isla Mujeres, and Cozumel, makes it a perfect base for exploring the Yucatan Peninsula.
