Even though the rooms here may not be as modern and luxurious as other top hotels and resorts in Cozumel, its great location, excellent amenities, and stellar services absolutely make up for it! All the staff consistently goes above and beyond to create memorable experiences for guests.
The resort is huge with plenty of amenities, but the best part about Grand Park Royal Cozumel All-Inclusive Resort is its beachfront location. It is situated on one of the best beaches in Cozumel with crystal clear water that is perfect for snorkeling. It is amazing how you can see so many colorful fishes and stingrays just off the beach!
In addition, the Atlantic Submarine Expedition is across the street to the right of the hotel, so you won’t have to worry about transportation to this popular activity!
There are two seaside infinity pools with swim-up bars overlooking the Caribbean sea–one of which is adults only. The hotel has daily entertainment by the pool and nightly entertainment in the open-air theatre. If you participate in the activities, you can win small prizes like a t-shirt, beach bag, or tequila bottle. There is a Mexican grand night with shows and games that will give out gifts as well. It’s so much fun!

Hotel Boutique Kinta Kan is an affordable beachfront hotel in Playa del Carmen, within walking distance to Fifth Avenue and the ferry dock for Cozumel, offering guests the best of both worlds.
The deluxe rooms are small but new and clean, although those with a king bed may feel even smaller compared to the ones with a queen bed. Guests can enjoy dinner at Fusion Beach Bar and watch a fire show by the beach, just a short walk away.
However, there are a few drawbacks to keep in mind. Most of the deluxe rooms do not have a safe, so you will need to take extra precautions with your belongings.
Booking the bungalow rooms is not recommended as they are located in an older section that is not facing the beach and not as well-maintained.
Overall, this cheap beachfront hotel in Playa del Carmen provides an excellent location for those looking to explore the area and enjoy the nearby attractions.

For breakfast, the hotel’s on-site cafe has amazing churros.
I got scuba diving certification here and I highly recommend it! The hotel provides a huge discount on scuba diving classes and even a free demo scuba diving session in the infinity rooftop pool.
Notably, this hotel is not beachfront, but the beach is only a two-block walk away.

When planning a vacation to Cancun, it’s important to choose the right area to stay in. Cancun Hotel Zone is the safest area to stay as all the resorts are located on the beach with gated entries and securities on patrol 24/7.
There are areas outside of the resorts that can be unsafe, so it’s best to take precautions when walking around at night. For example, areas like Parque las Palapas and El Centro (Downtown Cancun) are safe to walk around during the day, but I would recommend taking a taxi if you’re heading out at night.

The Cancun Hotel Zone (Zona Hotelera in Spanish) is a 22-km long strip of high-rise hotels, resorts, bars, and restaurants. This area can be roughly divided into three different regions:
- North Hotel Zone (up to Boulevard Kukulkan KM 8) where the beaches are quieter
- Middle Hotel Zone (roughly from Boulevard Kukulkan KM 8.5 to KM 14.5) which offers great shopping and nightlife options including Cancun’s best bars, clubs, and excellent dining spots

Great info on the pros and cons of top 10 hotels in Cancun. I think Marriott is too expensive for a non all inclusive hotel in Cancun though. I would rather stay at an all-inclusive resort for that price
