The new hotel is located on a secluded stretch of beach in the archaeological site of Xcaret, where guests can enjoy stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. La Casa de la Playa offers a variety of upscale amenities and gives out a very exclusive vibe.

La Casa de La Playa by Xcaret Review
Although the hotel price varies by season and different promotional periods, it seems to start at $1,500 per room for two adults at La Casa de la Playa. Factoring in the 5th night for free, you could stay here for as low as $1,200.
The lowest price for La Casa de La Playa is still much higher than the typical price for the cheapest room in Hotel Xcaret Mexico and Hotel Xcaret Arte, which probably makes you wonder if it is worth the hefty price tag. In this review, I will walk you through my analysis of the cost vs benefits to help you determine the answer.
1. Location
La Casa de la Playa is situated in the heart of Riviera Maya. It is about 50 minutes from Cancun International Airport and Tulum, making it easily accessible for travelers. The resort is nestled in the Mayan jungle with direct access to a white-sand beach, coves, and inlets.
The hotel is in close proximity to its sister resorts Hotel Xcaret Mexico and Hotel Xcaret Arte as well as the three popular theme parks: Xcaret, Xplor, and Xenses. This makes it the perfect place to stay for those who want to experience the best of both worlds. Whether you’re looking to spend your days lounging by the pool or exploring the adventure parks, La Casa de la Playa is the perfect place for you.
2. Rooms
La Casa de la Playa means “the beach house” in Spanish, and was designed with a view to making guests feel the comforts of home while enjoying the luxury of a boutique hotel. The rooms at La Casa de la Playa, starting at 1,066 square feet, are much bigger than most hotel rooms in Rivera Maya.
Even the cheapest room in La Casa de la Playa (so-called Suite Wellness) has a private heated hydro-massage pool that is more than 100 square feet in the terrace area. The pool can fit up to four people. There are two artisanal hammocks with one over the pool. Other wellness amenities include steam in the shower area and direct access to a massage cabin with a jacuzzi.
These extra amenities at La Casa de la Playa do justify the extra cost as they basically put these rooms at the same tier and comparable price as the Swim-Up Spa Suites in Hotel Xcaret Mexico and Hotel Xcaret Arte. But that’s not all, apart from the upgraded room, La Casa de la Playa offers other exclusive perks to its guests.
3. Exclusive Fine Dining
🍽️HA’
HA’ is an exclusive 5-Diamond restaurant with the first Mexican Michelin-starred chef Carlos Gaytán. The 7-course tasting menu is paired with exquisite wines and liquors and comes as an extra cost for other guests (approximately $150-$250/person), but is included only for guests at La Casa de la Playa.
🍽️Xaak
Xaak offers a sophisticated fine dining experience with Pre-Colombian influences on regional Mexican cuisines. This signature dining also comes as an additional fee to other guests (approximately $100-$200/person), but is included only for guests at La Casa de la Playa.
4. All-Fun Inclusive Feature
La Casa de la Playa offers all-fun inclusive, which means that you will enjoy access to all the tours and parks operated by Grupo Xcaret free of charge during your stay. This All-Fun Inclusive Feature is the main reason why I stay at Hotel Xcaret and highly recommend it to my readers. Since Xcaret excursions are quite expensive (average over $140 each), staying at Hotel Xcaret would be the most economical choice if you plan to explore more than two Xcaret parks or tours.
See my detailed calculations showing the value of the All-Fun Inclusive Feature and how it can make up for the cost of staying at the hotel!
Xcaret parks and tours include but are not limited to the following:
⭐All-Inclusive Tours
Xenotes: a visit to four types of cenotes (sinkholes): semi-open, the open gran cenote, ancient, and the cavern blue cenote. Even more exciting, these tours include assisted rappel, zip-lines, kayaking, exploration swimming, or cliff jumping.
Xichén (Chichen Itzá): guided tour to the archaeological site of Chichen Itza and the beautiful city of Valladolid, including a buffet and a visit to Mayan cenote Zací.
Cobá: guided tour to the Mayan ruins where you will have a chance to climb the tallest pyramid of the Yucatan Peninsula
Tulum: guided tour to a beautiful walled city built on the seashore.
*Tours require advance reservations with the Guest Service Manager
⭐Xcaret Xailing
The All-Fun Inclusive Feature includes a round-trip ferry ticket to Isla Mujeres, an island that is known as Magical Town for its white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and Mayan ruins.
⭐All-Inclusive Parks
Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xavage, Xoximilco, and Xenses
These theme parks are developed and operated with a unique ecotourism concept. In other words, it will enable you to immerse yourself in exotic and natural environments. For more information on these parks, visit the article 31 Top Things to Do in Cancun.
*Transportation from the resort to Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xavage, Xoximilco, and Xenses departs every 30 minutes but may be subject to change. It’s best to check with your Guest Service Manager in advance to make reservations if required.
⭐Free Airport Transfer
Round trip airport transfer is provided to you free of charge. While guests at Hotel Xcaret Mexico and Hotel Xcaret Arte will join a shared shuttle, guests at La Casa de la Playa will have a private airport transfer in a Tesla. That is worth approximately $250/round trip.
⭐Free Antigen Test
Unlike other all-inclusive resorts in Cancun which require a minimum stay of 3 nights for a free antigen test, all three Xcaret Hotels (Mexico, Arte, and La Casa de la Playa) offer a free test even if you are there for just one night.
Is it worth staying at La Casa de la Playa by Xcaret?
Grupo Xcaret never disappoints when it comes to ecotourism. Over the past years, they have been extremely successful with the operation of their all-inclusive parks, tours, and resorts. In 2021, they built La Casa de la Playa with the goal of making it the best of the best all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and Riviera Maya!
Having 300 meters of white sand with only 63 ocean-front suites, La Casa de la Playa offers true luxury and exclusivity. Whether it is worth it or not really depends on your budget and your preferences.
If you like the exclusive beach and want to enjoy a relaxing stay with spa treatments, La Casa de la Playa would be a great fit. The wellness suite in La Casa de la Playa with a private hydro-massage pool and direct access to the massage cabin would present better offerings than the Spa suites in Hotel Xcaret Arte and Hotel Xcaret Mexico.
Ultimate Luxury with Privileges at Hotel Xcaret Sister Resorts: When you stay at La Casa de La Playa, you will have access to all amenities from Hotel Xcaret Arte and Hotel Xcaret Mexico, including access to exclusive areas, additional perks, and restaurants that come with extra charges to other guests (in Casa Fuego and Casa de Los Artistas)
However, if you are a more budget-conscious adventurer who would likely spend most of the time exploring the parks or joining the tours, Hotel Xcaret Arte (if your party is 16+) or Hotel Xcaret Mexico (if you have children) may present a better fit.
For budget-conscious travelers, the money you save (instead of paying for transportation, antigen test, as well as park and tours tickets) would often be more than what you pay for the room at Hotel Xcaret Arte and Hotel Xcaret Mexico, making it basically a free stay. As a result, they are better options for luxury under budget.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a true luxury experience, La Casa de la Playa is the perfect choice for you. The private airport transfer, exclusive access to VIP areas, and the beautiful hydro massage pool with ocean views are just some of the ways that you will be able to relax and enjoy your time at the resort. In addition, the staff is dedicated to providing you with the best possible experience, and they will do everything they can to make sure that you have a memorable stay.
How to Book the Best Xcaret Hotel Deals
1. Book directly through La Casa de la Playa
Don’t miss out on the current special sales of 30% off for La Casa de la Playa. I will update Xcaret’s official promotions occasionally through this page or the Monthly Travel Deals Page.
2. Book Hotel Xcaret through a timeshare presentation
Timeshare presentation is one of the cheapest ways to experience luxury on a budget! However, I highly recommend you read the article 20 Dumb Mistakes to Avoid in Cancun before you proceed.
Typically, a member’s promo code will get you a 20-25% discount on referral. That could potentially save you thousands of dollars. BUT! The but here is that you will have to attend a “90-minute presentation” which is basically a high-pressured sales pitch that can end up taking several hours. For some people, it will not be worth the time that they lose. For others, it would give them the dream vacation that they wouldn’t have been able to afford.

Key Takeaways: La Casa de La Playa by Xcaret Review
La Casa de la Playa, with an exclusive beach, private hydro-massage pool, and direct access to the massage cabin, is a great choice for vacationers who are looking to relax in pure luxury. On the other hand, adventurous and budget-conscious travelers may find better value for money at Hotel Xcaret Arte (adults-only 16+) or Hotel Xcaret Mexico.
All three of the hotels by Xcaret offer great value because of their all-fun inclusive feature, free airport transfer, and free antigen test. Most importantly, staying at Hotel Xcaret will actually be cheaper than staying at a regular hotel and scrambling your head trying to book tickets and transportation to the main Cancun attractions.
