One of my all-time favorite sightings at Tunnels Beach was an octopus squishing itself into one of the smaller lava tubes. It’s not something you see every day! The diversity of marine life and the unique geology of the beach make Tunnels Beach a must-visit destination for any snorkeling enthusiast visiting Kauai.

I didn’t even see anyone surfing during my time there, likely due to the rough conditions in the water. But for me, the tranquility and seclusion were well worth the effort it took to get there.
